Bitcoin invoice / payment request
What do you use a Bitcoin invoice for?
You are a service provider (e.g. programmer, web designer) and have created a normal invoice for your service. Now you want the customer to pay this invoice via Bitcoin.
For this invoice you create a payment request, which you send to your customer by email.
Why can’t I just send my customer my Bitcoin address?
In such a case, you would now look up the current bitcoin price. Work out the amount, create a unique bitcoin address and send a payment request to your customer. Then you monitor your wallet until the payment is received.
But what happens if the customer does not pay immediately? Maybe he is on the road, has no time or his Bitcoin are still on another wallet.
Then time passes, within the bitcoin price might have changed.
Now the rate is no longer correct, a discussion begins about which amount is now taken. The one at the time of invoicing or at the time of payment.
For this problem, a Bitcoin bill is the solution.
You can create a Bitcoin payment request for this customer, based on your invoice, with just a few clicks.
With Bitcoin Invoice you transfer all relevant invoice data from your accounting into an online form. Likewise, the information about the invoice amount in euros.
A Bitcoin invoice is created from this information. The invoice recipient receives a request for payment in Bitcoin with the Bitcoin address to which the Bitcoin should be sent.
The payment request shows the Euro amount from your accounting. Only at the time of payment, the bitcoin amount is calculated based on the exchange rate.
This amount is sent to the specified Bitcoin address and credited to the merchant’s wallet.
As a payee, it therefore does not matter whether the customer pays the invoice immediately, the next day or within the payment period. There are no risks for the trader due to the volatility of the bitcoin price.
If the invoice amount is €50, the merchant will be credited the bitcoin equivalent of €50 at the time of payment, not at the time of invoice creation.
